CORIN (Corin Ileto) (she/her) is a Filipina-Australian electronic producer, performer and composer currently based in Sydney. In her work, traditional forms merge with hyper-digital sounds to create new imaginary realms and speculative futures drawing from ancient mythologies, science fiction, and her Filipino ancestry. Past releases include Wave Systems (2015), ‘Manifest’ (2019), ‘Araw’ (2021) and Enantiodromia (2021).
Her acclaimed album ‘Lux Aeterna’ released on Lee Gamble’s imprint UIQ in 2023 was described by the Wire Magazine as “a shapely and savage exploration of the post-human voice” and “eclipsing, intense world-building from one of Australia’s most fascinating producers” – by the Guardian (Best Australian albums of 2023).
Coming from a background in classical piano, CORIN is known for her signature style - performing intricate melodies on keyboard synthesizers encapsulated within a cinematic sonic world both ancient and futuristic, synthetic and organic.
CORIN has performed across major local festivals include Asiatopa (2020), Unsound Festival (Adelaide, 2018, 2023), VIVID (Sydney, 2023), Dark Mofo (Hobart, 2023, 2025) and Now or Never Festival (Melbourne, 2024, 2025). And local venues including Carriageworks, Phoenix Central, Brisbane Powerhouse, Melbourne Town Hall, the Meat Market, Arts House and Arts Centre Melbourne. Her international portolio includes: Palais De Tokyo (2019), CTM Festival (Berlin, 2022, 2026), W.O.S. Festival (Spain, 2023), Lunchmeat Festival (Prague, 2023), L.E.V. Festival (Spain, 2023, 2026) , Fiber Festival (Amsterdam, 2022, 2026), Unfold x Festival (Seoul, 2024), Taipei Music Centre (2026) and the mainstage at Berlin Atonal (2023). Past supports include Oneohtrix Point Never, Ryoji Ikeda and Fatimi Al Qadiri.
CORIN’s recent performance works are sonic excursions into Filipino tuning and instrumentation. ‘Resonance’, an electroacoustic multichannel performance with the kulintang (Filipino gongs) commissioned and presented by Forecast Platform and CTM Festival (Berlin, 2025 - 2026) with mentorship support from acclaimed Iranian producer Sote. And ‘Diwa’ live audiovisual performance merging the kulintang gongs, Filipino folk traditions and synthesis, presented with visuals by VFX artist Tristan Jalleh. ‘Diwa’ has been presented at Now or Never festival (Melbourne, 2025), this year at LEV festival (Spain), Taipei Music Centre and Fiber Festival (Amsterdam).
CORIN is currently working on a new major performance/installation work developed recently via residencies at EMS (Stockholm), BEK (Bergen) and Arts House (Melbourne).
Her past residencies include Cite Internationale des Arts via Creative Australia (Paris, 2024), Elektronmusik Studion [EMS] (Stockholm, 2025), Bergen Centre for Electronic Arts [BEK] and MONOM (Berlin, 2026).
In addition, composition for dance, film, video, theatre and art gallery environments is a parallel arc of Corin’s practice often collaborating with diverse artists including Asia Pacific collective Club Ate, Filipinx artist Justin Shoulder and the Future Folkore Collective, dancer Angela Goh & Australia’s leading indigenous intercultural dance company Marrugeku. Her composition work has been presented across major Australian institutions including the MCA, Arts House, Art Gallery of NSW, Carriageworks, the Sydney Opera House and internationally at the Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Kampnagel (Hamburg), Southbank Centre (London) and Fusebox Festival (Austin).
She also hosts a bi-monthly show on NTS radio.
